[Ferran would have... well, he would've had a much more unpleasant time without those nosy people. Back to complaining about fae creatures, though, as it's one of his favorite pastimes...]
They sure didn't want us to venture out of town when we first showed up. Makes sense they'd be hiding more, for whatever bizarre reasons they might have...
[He doesn't expect for it to make sense; he's not giving them the benefit of the doubt for anything.]
[It's certainly annoying when people shove their noses in his business, but guess that's also how he made a couple of friends here. Strange how that works, but maybe it's more strange that they still want to be around him despite his past misdeeds. Everyone get higher standards--]
Should we try to forcefully interrogate them too? [How fun.]
[Another petal is taken out of the jar and carefully placed inside the leather... and Ferran shakes his head, somewhat exasperated.]
That depends on how willing you are to face the consequences.
[He would be prepared—if he were interested in such a thing. He doesn't know if Hans would be, or if he could even shield the prince from retaliation properly.]
I don't know if it would be worth the effort, anyway. It could be they're just stupid.
[A gamble that's probably not worth the risk, huh? He can see where Ferran is coming from and it's not like he's super invested in finding this out.]
One thing at a time, and we'll certainly grab knowledge from the escapees when... you and the others go there. [Because he's definitely not going, 100%.
But with his tea finished, Hans slowly gets up from his seat and maneuvers himself over to Ferran, reaching with his hand to lightly grip his partner's chin.]
[That's a weird pause, but Ferran doesn't think much of it for now. He's got other things to focus on, anyway. Like the fact that Hans has walked over and made sure he's looking at the prince, for example. With his eyebrows raised:]
I won't get into anything I can't get out of.
[Probably. He sounds confident enough, at least...]
Don't tell me that you need your Prince Charming to come and rescue you.
[He's not really either of those things-- but hey, despite his words, he would go out and save Ferran because... well, him being dead would be annoying okay. Even if it doesn't last in this world.
Hans would rather avoid extra angst and drama when possible, thanks.]

Don't get into too much trouble out there.
